Every state hires lobbyists to fight for their share of federal spending. The governor can't afford to spend all their time in Washington when Congress is in session.

harriett meyers, who was a sumpreme court nominee under President Bush, is a lobbyist for the pakistinki's......they pay her firm over a million dollars a yr , after we paid them over $20B in nine years..

Their best bet is to get the word out that the UBL episode was a hoax and devised by the evil American government to villify Pakistanis. In fact, that is exactly something I heard on CNN from a few Pakistanis who were interviewed on the streets.

Actually, we are paying for the lobbyists with the foreign aid we give to Pakistan. Isn't that nice.
