No. Salaries are determined by the free market, except when government or union forces interfear. If salaries determined jobs then American wouldn't have any lawyers in it and all legal services would be handled out of India and China. Obviously that is not the case.
It is government regulation and taxation more than anything that drives jobs overseas (or sometimes from state to state). Unionization also plays a role.

Well if the cost of rent, gas, groceries, insurance, clothing, and all the other things I need to function in my everyday life gets cut by 75% than maybe; otherwise, Hell NO!

TXTwister said it all. I would love to have my current salary and 1980's prices. A market below 1,000 would hurt less than $.50 a gallon gas would help.
