Could you all specify exactly what lies you're referring to? I know of a couple, but overall he's been pretty straight-forward and honest.
As for screwing things up, could you cite which policies you think have done that? Is it that they actually screwed things up, or just that they disagree with your ideology so you assume they must screw things up? Overall, his policies have been very solid based on what he was elected to do.
Also - he's given ample credit to everyone for OBL. No president does anything alone and, if you listen to what he's said, he's been very eager to share. He even invited Bush, who declined.

Actually it was a rather good week for him with the death of OBL and the increased revenues by the auto manufacturers that some thought we should just let close down.
Yes a few things had to happen for OBL's capture, kind of reminds me of the fall of Russia under Reagan, timing is everything.
If the unemployment rate is still arounfd 9% in 2012 he won't be reelected, and if he can reduce it with no other disasters he will get a second term.

I suspect the invitation to Bush was only extended b/c Bush happened to be president when 9/11 happened, not b/c he is giving him credit for the techniques used to gain the intel that led to OBL's death.

And I suspect that Bush refused because he was bitter about the accomplishment under Obama, putting to rest someone who he claimed was a non-issue after being a major issue.
