It would seem that Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer might sometime learn what has caused them to be the leaders of the minority party in the House, but this doesn't make it appear that they have learned a lot up to now. This bill is a really thinly veiled attack on small business. If, indeed, small businesses provide 3 out of 4 jobs in the US this bill is obviously intended to punish them for whatever they do.

Fear not, H.R. 870 is DOA.

Speaker Boehner will not allow this bill to reach the floor for a vote.

You mean Boehner would act like Pelosi did all that time? It would save the time and expense of a vote, I guess. Maybe you shouldn't have said that as some lefty may want to see this bill entered on the floor and will see the light of day concerning this thing.

Now the lady did say in the article something about the party that controls the Senate and the White House so I guess there is a chance that something like this could come to the House from the Senate.

Our President knows that since he can't legislate many things he wants he can use regulation to get what he wants just as well and is using the EPA to replace his Cap and Trade legislation.

Dang..this is no job "creation" bill.
This is tax someone selling stocks and use that money for low income areas to fix them up.

Here..read for yourself..this is no "FULL Employment" unless they plan to hire everyone for no less than 12 months. Then again..where will they get that money ?

Read The Bill: H.R. 870 - GovTrack.us

A snippet..the "use of funds":
(c) Use of Funds- A recipient of a grant under this section shall use the grant for the following purposes:

(1) During the initial 9-month period in which grants are made under this section, each grant shall be used only to fund the following types of fast-track job placements:
(A) The painting and repair of schools, community centers, and libraries.
(B) The restoration and revitalization of abandoned and vacant properties to alleviate blight in distressed and foreclosure-affected areas of a unit of general local government.
(C) The expansion of emergency food programs to reduce hunger and promote family stability.
(D) The augmentation of staffing in Head Start, child care, and other early childhood education programs to promote school readiness and early literacy.
(E) The renovation and enhancement of maintenance of parks, playgrounds, and other public spaces.

You just never know what you might find in a Congressional bill and you have found enough in this one to make anyone sick.

Just think how much of that kind of thing THEY hid in that over 2500 page Health Reform bill. Especially since Andy Stern and other labor people were involved in the writing.

Oh well this one will never see the light of day unless the Senate picks it up before January 2013.

You know..those items I listed were the same selling points for the stimulus bill. You mean to tell me they need more ?

Isn't part of the stimulus money still on the shelf not spent ?
How many times can we spend money to "fix the infrastructure" ?
