Ohhhhhh, this is SarahNYC who once posted in the New York City forum that she didn't want to live near Black Americans. Go figure you would post this. You have a dark, black heart and soul and you will suffer because of that through your hate and ignorance. Good luck with that.

Unlike the Germans, I think you might have a hard time convincing the Arab states that they were wrong. Further, the people who were victims of slavery are all dead; victims of the Holocaust are still alive.

I assume that is what he means and it is often touted as an example to follow in compensating African-Americans for slavery.
The fact that the Jews are still alive and the enslaved African-Americans long dead never merits a mention.
Ethnic or other groups that have been a past target of discrimination, slavery, genocide, etc. do in fact deserve reparation payments from the responsible party(ies) up until the point where said group has been made equivalent in averages to the rest of society.

Jews no longer deserve reparations. Israel is a successful, self-governing nation that can defend itself well. Most non-Israeli Jews affected by the Holocaust have received appropriate reparations from German war debt payments, etc.
Yes, they do. Because some of them are still alive and/or have kids who were affected by the Holocaust. And no, the Germans did not pay that much at all.
African-Americans still deserve reparations. As a group, they still have a much higher rate of poverty and a much lower standard of living compared to others.
They also have a much higher rate of High School drop outs and crime. That is the reason for poverty, not what happened long ago.
Native Americans still deserve reparations for the same reasons.
Their did get reparations. They live in a first class country instead of in some slum or in the woods. And they weren't directly affected anyway. those who were died hundreds of years ago.

It only affects those blacks who allow it to affect them. 0bama is our president, so obviously he did not let it affect him. Oprah is a billionaire, she did not allow it to affect her.
If you play into the victim hood, speak in ebonics, act like a social militant, and adopt some cartoonish lifestyle, then you may have problems blending in with society.

The only reparations necessary would be the desire to get an education and apply one's skills to economic production. Much as Jeremiah Wright has done to lift himself socially.
Jews seem to have done okay since WWII. Other groups have been oppressed but aren't begging for handouts.
My grandfather cut a trail thru the woods and over a hill to get his cotton to market, and to provide a path for his kids to walk to school. That path is now a county maintained road. He was descended from Irish settlers.

First of all, How can you claim to be from Poland and not know it existed since 966 as a country? How can you not know that Poland was invaded by Germany and the Soviet Union and occupied by them during WW2? How can you state the Jews fled Poland, when they were pulled from their homes and sent to one of six concentration camps to be put to death? And when the war was over and Poland was free again instead of letting Jews return to their towns and lands removed all the documentation on ownerships and nationalized their lands and looted their homes? And now for numerous years some of this loot has been showing up in auction houses and museums. Over half of the 6 million Jews that died during WW2 came from Poland. $65 Billion, is for what Poland did after the war to its own citizens, is an understatement. How dare you compare Palestinian squatters who never owned the land they were on ( no Ottoman and no British documents)( And before you even utter the Israelis destroyed the proof, there are hundreds of Arabs in Israel that do have documentation are are still living on their lands). Palestinians were never slave labor to Israelis. Palestinians were never sent to death camps.
The reparations are for what was stolen from their own legal citizens.
So let's see...Palestine was just some deserted no mans land with nothing on it,so it was a free for all?

Native people don't deserve reparations, they deserve to have their treaties with the US Government honored.
