It's the truth for the most part. The media that you refer to as "mainstream media" usually backs up stories with facts.

It's rare that I see conservative facts as real and not exaggerations. The conservative mind is more inclined to express itself through outrage rather than with a truly constructive response, hence the continued (though often entirely debunked) demonization of liberal concepts. A conservative will pound his fists and proclaim that liberals enjoy spending other people's money though that is hardly backed up by fact. Do liberals spend other people's money? Yes, on everything from Medicare to defense spending. Do they like wasting other people's money? Of course not, but the conservative will not listen to reason. Their outrage at whatever has slighted them (real or imagined) is too strong to be extinguished by real facts.

If you're conservative and you've read this far, realize that I am in no way implying that liberals are the exact opposite, i.e., that they are all rational and correct in their views. I know that craziness is universal and stupidity is even more vast.

Even if they have to manufacture said fact! So, I'll call your bluff and raise you one Dan Rather and a Dateline saddle tank!

Read a book named 'Bias' by Bernard Goldberg. Then come back with a real subject title and discussion.

To be truely liberal means to be free of bias, so the term 'liberal bias' is strictly speaking an oxymoron.

The problem is that the liberals don't understand economics so they can't understand some pretty simple things.

I've seen false facts or spin by both sides of the political aisle. The Republicans don't have a patent on that.

If Y'all want to see what TV news should be like watch CBC or CTV news. In Canada if you report lies as news you get fined and lose your permit to broadcast. Even at that we still have the right wing complaining that the news is biased. They use this victim card where ever they are.
