Why? The incandescent bulb isn't banned and Hasbro could have used 95 watt bulbs instead of 100's.

Light bulbs themselves are blasphemy. God decides when it is light or dark.

Getting back to the original message. George W Bush signed it into law in 2007. Did light bulb makers complain? Of course not, they were planning to discontinue them anyway.

Congress could have passed the Quality of Music act in the 90's; outlawing the release of prerecorded music on tape. Fortunately, they weren't in the mood to pass superfluous legislation.

As an aside, the biggest critics of now President Trump's rollback of energy saving measures has been industry that sees these innovations as the future and don't want to be left behind.

As a true conservative, I still rely on whale oil lamps for all my lighting needs. Even though the libs make it harder and harder each year to find a good supply of oil to burn. Forcing us to move to electricity based lighting was an act of pure tyranny.

Sorry to burst your bubble but only us sun worshippers are the true conservatives when it comes to lighting.
