And although African Americans aren't the antagonists that the gay community makes us out to be, we have traditionally had some HUGE problems dealing with the gay community. I don't think we're any worse than the Hispanic community or most white communities....in fact, i KNOW we aren't. But we get tagged for it because within the black community, the anti-gay voices are pretty loud. Also because some folks in the gay community are probably anti-black anyway though i wouldn't say the majority are.
