You mean make seats larger and sell them for the same price as two seats on Southwest Airlines?
You don't get it. They don't want to pay for more than one seat. They can already accomodate themselves by paying for 2 seats but they don't want to do that. So what makes you think they will want to pay higher fares for an extra large seat.
No, I mean an airline that caters to plus size travelers. Like the Big and Tall stores and the ladies' boutiques that specialize in plus size apparel. An airline where ALL the seats are extra large to accommodate the travelers with special needs.

Yes, I get that but in order for an airline to cater to large people, they will have to charge higher rates because they will have to make less seats available on their airlines to accomodate larger travelers. If large travelers won't pay for two seats on Southwest which they can do now, what makes you think they will pay for a more expensive seat on an airline catering to large people.
I disagree with the Airline. I believe the airlines are selling transport, not seats. If a given individual requires more than one seat to be transported then they should be provided with more than one seat. Only the airline accountants see the airlines as selling seats for the convenience of calculating costs.
This is no different than a bus company having to be able to transport a wheel chair bound passenger even if the accommodation costs more than a regular seat. Bus companies are also selling transportation and not just seats.
I pay a bus company to take me to Boston and back every day in a seat. I would not be paying the fare if the seat and I stayed in Londonderry.
But not Southwest. Their cattle cars have no first class seats. I refuse to fly SW.
The cattle car comment is trite. All of their seats are leather and offer more leg space than most airlines. Most airlines have cheap cloth that looks like it's about to come off and less space. Yes, first class seats on other airlines are better but they also cost 4 times as much and for a domestic flight, it seems rather pointless to pay that much more for some extra drinks, a tv and a mediocre meal on a 2-3 hour flight. If you are flying international, then I can understand paying more to fly first class. I like Southwest because they
1. They are on time
2. They offer good service and are not rude
3. They don't charge for bags
4. They don't charge extra for snacks. On other airlines, they will charge you $5 for crackers and cookies which Southwest provides free.
5. They don't charge extra for carrying infant car seats, strollers etc which other airlines nickel and dime you on.
6. The open seating system. Sorry but I hate competing with business travelers who book window and aisle seats 8 months in advance on other airlines.
7. Their Rapid Rewards membership. It's straightforward and reliable unlike other airlines frequent flier programs.
I used to fly American and Delta and after years of horrible service, I stopped flying them 10 years ago and have only flown Southwest if possible and haven't regretted my decision.
Ever had to sit beside some fat ***** that sweated like a pig, and wanted to pull the armrest up so part of his fat ***** could occupy your seat? I have, and I told him I would sell him part of my seat for cash, in advance, or the arm rest will stay down. The armrest stayed down.

That's a good one I've got to remember that one.
