NOT. Most people are FOR voter ID...except those who like the idea of letting ineligible people vote.

You mean the seniors that demanded the govt take care of them and sent the bill to grandchildren that have not even been born yet?

I would also add literacy tests to validate whether a voter understands the issues on the ballot.

You surely know that we have major problems with stolen ID's here in America and increasing numbers of voter fraud.

Don't you want to protect the voting rights of Americans ?
Having lived in Wisc, I believe the people are fine with what has served them for multiple decades. That a current set of pols with, maybe 15% of the public supporting them, would presume to impose their brand of voter exclusion policies, won't be tolerated. The people of Wisc take their rights, VERY seriously. So do the people of Mich, Ohio, Indiana and Fla.

Not in every state.

It's funny, it's the cons who are so opposed to any kind of national ID card, yet so quick to jump on this picture ID for voting issue. When you sign a voter regisitration form, you declare, under penalty of perjury, that the information you have provided is correct.

We already have one. It is called a PASSPORT. It only has to be renewed every 10 years.

FB..these folks will have to get one whether they like it or not and even if they don't vote. There is a DHS/TSA requirement for everyone to have an ID to fly or enter a Federal building.

The requirements to have this are staggered based on age group.
This is a Federal mandate. So this voter ID is really a non-issue because they WILL have an ID based on the Fed mandate.
Now that turns it into a Dem item. Happy now ?
