This guy is the farthest thing there is from real Conservatism. True Conservatives want Government to shrink and want States and Individual Rights given back to them. True Conservatives are not in favor of regulations or subsidies. They are not in favor of the Federal Government mandating health care even if it does benefit big business. That is Corporatism or Fascism when Government along with Corporations control or dictate to the people. I don't think the Left realizes that they have become the people who are in favor of an Authoritarian form of Government, which back in the 60's they rebelled against!
True Conservatism = Liberty

Ron Paul = Liberty

He's a black pragmatic centrist and has always been one. Far left wingers want to pull him to the left and right wingers characterize him as such.

Your question is a bit off. I'm a conservative, but I'm a real conservative. I don't support corporations or insurance companies. I support enterprising small businesses, not behemoths that lobby Congress every two minutes because they know the majority of Congressmen are in their back pockets.
Most Republicans are conservative in name only. In favour of endless wars which the U.S. has no business waging; in favour of bailing out huge corporations with tax money; in favour of bypassing the Constitution when it suits them.
You need to re-frame the question.

Uh, no. Libertarians have diverse opinions on abortion (some say the government shouldn't have a say in it, while others contend that all human life must be protected) and true conservatives are against it.

Can't see the trees for the forest.

True Conservatism is liberty indeed.
I would that others as yourself and Patton see that Republican does not = Conservative.

It's the battle of pseudo-liberal (Stalin/Maoist-wanna bes) and pseudo-conservatives (fascist-wanna bes).
