How did he not side with the arabs? He want Israel to give up land they, not us, fought for. Exactly what the arabs wanted and against everything the Jew state needs.
Plenty of nations have given up land that they fought for at some point in history. Borders are fluid...always have been.
Bottom line is this: if Israel doesn't want to give back the land, then don't inquire with us about what to do. Take ALL of the land. Hell, for maximum security, why not take Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan too? I don't give a damn. But don't do it, then fly here and expect us to smile at you and give you a hi-5. Take the land, and be prepared to defend it against relentless attacks.
But Netanyahu should do whatever the hell he wants. It's his country. If he doesn't like Obama (and he doesn't), then don't seek council from him. Ignore him and keep doing what you've been doing. (shrugs shoulders)

Second, the Palestinians have gone through their own 9/11s time and time again. Remember our pain as a nation when we were attacked? That's what the Palestinians in Gaza go through year after year when Israel kills one thousand women and children and blows up their schools, shopping districts, and civilian refugee centers.
Third, we should have no close friends in the region. That would mean we stop blindly supporting Israel in light of all the crimes they commit and stop paying taxes that go to Israel when we could be using that money to make sure all Americans can afford college or funding projects that benefit Americans living in America.
It's because of our blind support for Israel that anti-American sentiment is prevalent in the Middle East and it's because of our blind support for Israel that 9/11 happened in the first place!
