Did you actually read your own article? I don't get how you conclude "liberals" when San Francisco, LA, Buffalo, and New York are on the "least gas guzzling" list and a bunch of conservative suburban areas plus places like Nashville are on the most gas guzzling list.
That's a rather bizarre conclusion since 4 of the 10 least-using ciites are in CA, supposedly a liberal paradise, and NYC, also a liberal den of iniquity, uses the least.
I'm conservative and even I wouldn't believe this nonsense. I do agree with the poster about Gore's double standards though. He uses the same amount of energy as 170 typical homes with a monthly electric bill as high as $17,000 (three homes and various buildings). Then let's throw in the private jet for good measure. He's right when he say's we need to get off our oil addiction, but we need to drill just to service his.
New York uses the least gasoline, but then it does have the most comprehensive transit in the nation. Los Angeles also does well, and has much better transit than it gets credit for. It mentions that mass transit only went up by low double digits, understandable since most drivers don't have access to it. But voters may come to demand it.
it is a shame when someone goes through life, looking at everything they see as either liberal or conservative... sorta like the person that is always noticing and pointing out the race of someone... I usually assume they are a closet racist.
