Dragged along kicking and screaming is not "leading"...

If it comes to a shutdown, the GOP should stick to its principles

Furthermore, following the 1993 WTC attack and all the attacks by the very same al Qaida in the following years, no effort was made to get agents or informants inside Afghanistan even though we knew much of the al Qaida organization, to include Bin Laden, was there.

True enough provided they have actually changed.

Thanks. I was going to mention that, too. Clinton changed the way the CIA could obtain information from informants. The CIA could no longer get info from informants who had a felony record. This severely hurt the effectiveness of the CIA and caused many agents to resign. al Qaeda was able to make many terrorist attacks throughout the '90s because of this. Thanks, William the Impeached!

I didn't read in that article where Obama himself approves of this.

Obama wants all those things. And would push for them if not for the Tea Party.

That why liberals have to call the Tea Party racist, stupid, etc....They are winning.

Then you aren't paying much attention. This isn't new and liberals have been voicing objection to this for years.
Psst, this pre-dates Obama -- unless you are daft enough to think that outsourcing jobs to China and India didn't occur before Jan. 20, 2009.
