Your question "what has Palestine done for us?" is quite selfish and irrelevant to the crisis in the Middle East. We give 3.3 billion dollars of military aid to Israel every year. THAT is part of why Palestinians hate us. Many of them have been displaced, lost their homes, and been killed simply because they resisted being "moved out" by Israel. If someone pushed you out of your house, and bulldozed it to the ground, I don't think you'd be happy. And if you discovered that England gave them money to bulldoze your house, I think you'd be angry with England as well.
It's all pretty simple, really. You can spin it all you want, but the basic fact is, that Palestinians are being treated very badly ever since Zionism came along. And they do not have the support of a superpower, like Israel does. Do it suprise you that they are angry?? Should they be happy and gleeful that they don't have homes anymore??

I find you white hat vs. black hat view of the region a bit disconcerting.
IMO I find that the US goes overboard in it's support of Israel due to a number of geo-political factors going back decades as well as the number of jewish people in the US. However, as a counterpoint Europe tends to be anti-israel but then again Europe has a whole bunch of people that don't like Jews and are more than willing to axe grind on Israel. So between the two is a fairer balance.
Again, they are at war and Palestine and surrounding countries have failed in several attempts to wipe Israel out. They failed but will not reach peace accords and as a result I have no more sympathy for thier plight than I do for the Ottomans whom used to control the entire region...or the Hapsburgs that lost control of Germany etc.

I dont care about zionism, judism, islamism, christism or any other ism.
and any palistinain move out was moved because there were attacks on Israel from those areas.
The causes of the angst are irrelevent to the discussion. the only thing that matters is how do we get to the place where America quits giving BILLIONS TO BOTH SIDES?

That won't ever happen because the rest of the Middle East wants the issue, not peace and that is the truth.
In some ways it takes away from the tribal warfare that is traditional between them by having Jews to focus on in Israel.

Therein lies the rub.
Think of the Palestinians as the Muslims' pit bull. They've kept it starving, treated it like crap, trained it to fight and are betting on it to kill the other dog in the fight. As long as you have an overwhelming majority of middle east nations that wish to annihilate Israel, just for being on the same planet, there will never be peace. Let's not ignore that Russia is arming Hezbollah as well.
Israel will never be in a non-defensive position until they are tricked into believing there's a real peace. That peace will be short lived because it'll be a means to the end of Israel. It's pretty much unfolding as planned.

I tried to tell them that Israel gives a lot more than it receives, but nobody seems to get it. How can they be the 2nd largest supplier of technology to China unless they are more than just a dust bucket. People need to read more than forum posts and blogs.
In the interest of forum balance (like that can actually happen)… Lets discuss what America and the rest of the world have gained from the existence of Palestine.

So you mean the US should set other countries borders for them? And ones that can't be defended? And let's also be clear, the 67 borders are really the 48 borders.
Giving back what Israel won in battle is like the US giving Texas back to Mexico. Do you honestly think that'll happen?
