The worst part of this one is that he won't make it to Joplin before Sunday, 8 days after the storm. Bush made it to Greensburg in 2007 on Tuesday after their storm late Friday night. Now it is time for some lefties to start something about Bush that is nothing just as they say him losing those 3 years was nothing.
Oh, you are right!

Obama should have known before he left for Europe that there would be a tornado in Joplin.

If you're not willing to go on America Idol to get your Federal assistance...

He didn't TELL them anything; a suggetion for a plan is not TELLING someone what to do.

Sometimes asking for MORE than what you really want gets you closer to something acceptable.

You know, say you are selling your house. You want to get $100,000 for it, so you ask $125,000 and negotiate with the buyer.

Simple strategy.

Such hate from the left. Showing their true colors, as usual. Our hearts go out to the storm survivors.

Now's the perfect time to put their money where their mouths are, or shut up about government 'hand-outs'.
So you're OK with them withholding sending their taxes to DC?

Let's see here: You whole neighborhood gone some of your family is dead and you have lost almost every possession you own what you still own is sitting out in the rain and you have no way yourself to protect it and most everyone around you is pretty much still in a daze, you have no food or water and have been up for about 24 hrs.
Are you still saying that you will opt out to take NOTHING at all? Remember you opted out and have not paid anything so you don't deserve anything at all. YOU SIR DON'T FACE REALITY!
I know you lefties will never understand this, but these people would be helped. Their fellow Americans would help them get back on their feet. But when you believe in a cradle to grave entitlement system, and hate many of your fellow Americans, you can't possibly understand how that could happen.

You are correct. Missourians have a wonderful sense of community and compassion, and are quick to help their neighbors, I have witnessed it several times.
Funny thing, as Morebelwoman said, not once did any Missourian stop to inquire anyones political leanings before they pitched in to help.
One can only wonder what some of the posters on this thread would do.

Sorry, but I cannot see the connection between your answer and my post.

Maybe you didn't read all the posts from the beginning, so you have no understanding of how this thread developed.

However, your next post underscores the very essence of the post of mine that you cited.

So many RW's on this site scream and yell about all the government handouts and how government should be smaller, but when a disaster strikes they are more than willing to accept any help the government offers. It seems that they want it both ways; smaller government when THEY are not affected by tragedy, bigger government when they ARE affected.

Gee, I don't know!

Why don't you ask the Jewish Rabbi who helped a Muslim dig out of the debris of the Twin Towers on 9/11? Ooooo, and just think, they were NEW YORKERS!!!
