Yeah, the GOP won the district overwhelmingly just 6 months ago.

He won reelection in 2010 with 76 percent of the vote. His district consistently votes Republican, according to The Weekly Standard.

Except my heavily Republican district hasn't sent a Democrat to Congress in 100 years. And no matter what they say or do, that's unlikely to change anytime soon. Can't say the same for NY-26
