Does anyone else see a problem with a "secret interpretation" of a law? Why should laws be difficult to interpret?

Some of the scariest stuff is stuff one can't talk about. Google "national security letter" for one such example. It's obscene.

From one perspective, our elected representatives to government are only delegated certain public powers to effect the common defense and general welfare of our republic.

We do not elect representatives to private office, but to public office. There should be no secrecy in civil government or public acts which may require secrecy from the public, rendering them private acts, since any office of public trust of the United States must be a public office, not a private office.

Any discussion regarding public policy choices?
