Will you "volunteer" to leave Social Security? (politicians, retire, government)

I would rather have it when I'm old (especially medicare), but considering that Social Security will not be able to deliver when I'm 65 in 30+ years, I would withdraw now if I could.
If I were younger, I'd opt out in a heartbeat, but I've paid in all my life.
There's the catch-22. No matter who it is if they've paid a single dime they either want it back or want what they've paid for, understandably so.
I think was the point of the program in the first place.
Three things had to happen no matter what current events occurred.
The population will always increase.
The population will increase to a point at which the planet can't sustain it.
The population will decrease and the people left will be an aging population.
Since the people who wanted government ran healthcare were the same ones that wanted UHC, they knew exactly what opening up tax payer funds to keep people alive was going to do. They knew that the amount of people on the front end would eventually decline and they still used the people on the front end to justify what they were doing on the back end.
The population is aging and it's growing at a slower rate, so to account for the last factor they tied it to taxes so they can always tax what they need to keep the fun solvent.
If you have a fund to save people's lives that they can vote on it doesn't take a genius to figure out they'll tax themselves to death to save one last breath.
FYI - Congress is under no obligation to pay entitlements. They are entirely at the discretion of Congress. The participant has NO PROPERTY RIGHT to those "entitlements". And just because one "paid in" for all their working life, is immaterial.
If you can't do math, here's a hint:
When SocSec began, there were 15 workers supporting each recipient.
Now?
2 workers for each recipient.
And soon, even less.
If you still wish to volunteer into such a system - well - that's your choice.
But there is no law compelling participation, nor punishing those who do not participate.
The supreme court already ruled on that really. The ruled hat certtain workers like other governamnt employees cannot be force into the SS system. Kind of reminds one of the new heathcare exemptions doen't it.
And if 51% withdraw consent from FICA / Social Security, the system would implode, since the recipients would far outnumber the remaining donors.
If you withdraw wouldn't that exclude you from receiving any benefits?
You should be entitled to benefits based on your contributions at the time you withdrawl. If not, I want a refund of all contributions plus interest to be rolled into a 401K tax-free.
Ahh nope... You simply need to write off more than you earn.. Underground would mean you dont claim anything.. I claim EVERYTHING.
