The ban was partly based on evidence that circumcision is not needed and can cause more harm than good (since there is evidence to support that circumcision is not needed and things can go bad). Has nothing to do with religion. It's more a public health issue.

I think that circumcision is not a bad thing since there are also studies done that have shown less AIDS infections, however...I would have to know more to take a more decisive stance.

I think that's another difference between conservatives and liberals. Conservatives, lately, are too decisive and not willing to see more evidence. They simply are more reactionary now.

Liberals are more likely to cite scientific evidence as well as psychological evidence.

I think part of it the conservative backlash against science and higher education.

Is Russian not next to Alaska?

Did Putin not order flights from bombers to fly over the Arctic?

The North Pole isn't the only prize in the eyes of the resurgent Russian empire — Moscow is also looking to restore control over a 47,000 sq. km (18,000 sq. mile) piece of the Bering Sea separating Alaska from Russian Chukotka. The territory was ceded to the U.S. in 1990 under the U.S.-Soviet Maritime Boundary Agreement signed by Secretary of State James Baker and Soviet Foreign Minister Eduard Shevardnadze.
Russia Claims the North Pole - TIME

Or is it okay now because Obama is the one looking over Alaska to see Putin's head rear up from over the horizon?

You just made the point that she never said "she can see Russia from her house", that in reality you can see Russia from an island in Alaska.

Was she lying?

Sarah Palin told ABC news "...you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."

That quote made us want to go to that island.

So we did.

The island is called Little Diomede. It looks like a rock plopped into the Bering Strait. Only about 150 Alaskans live on the whole island. And just about two miles away; in full view of every single house on the island is the nation of Russia.

Her statement was literal and factual.

And it was none other than Anderson Cooper that proved it the truth:

You CAN see Russia from here! – Anderson Cooper 360 - CNN.com Blogs

Why did you say old white guy mentality exactly? Isn't that a racial slur? Do you know how many whites marched for racial equality in the sixties? They are all old white guys and gals now.

Uh huh, and? Everything that you linked to is indeed a fact. Sadly most lemming Neo Progs regurgitate what Bill Maher and other "progressives" tell them to say and believe that SP said that she could she Russia from her house, just like the guy who I quoted. She never said that, Tina Fey did. So who's stupid now?

Has nothing to do with religion
what are you talking about it bans a jewish commandment that's more important then having matzah on passover. It's called liberal hypocrisy where they will fight for the right's of Muslims to set up the ground zero mosque (which can be built elsewhere) but sit back and say that attacking a central tenant of both Judaism and Islam "Has nothing to do with religion".
