what the hell is wrong with New Haven? More dangerous than Baltimore or Oakland? Sucks to suck.

I have been to 7 of these cities and believe them to be dead on.

St Louis
Baltimore
Memphis
Detroit

are extremely dangerous to even be in.

Wonder why Philly or Newark NJ did not make the list?

With the exception of Stockton, all of the cities on the list have a higher percentage of Blacks within the city limits than the nation as a whole.

Suprised that Cleveland didn't make the top 10. It usually does. I mean, I'm glad it's not, but usually these type of things love to throw jabs at my region any chance they get.

New Haven has no suburban areas... It's essentially a nice downtown area that includes Yale, some middle class areas and ghetto. When I lived in Austin, within the city limits there were loads of low-crime surburban areas. In Connecticut our municipalities are small and the suburban areas are actually other municipalities. SUrrounding New Haven are the high income towns of Woodbridge and Orange and middle class towns of Hamden, North Haven, East Haven and West Haven.

All of the urban area-- and urban problems-- are concentrated within the relatively small New Haven city limits.
