Our government has been spying on it's own citizens for years(think McCarthy and our FBI files) and holding suspected commies, terrorists, etc for the same amount of time. Though I will say, alot of countries do this, not just America. Democrat or Republican, it doesn't matter, because in the end, the agenda is the same......

As bad as it really is in this country, the thing that upsets me is the fact that Republican partisans will blame everything on Democrats and the Democrat partisans will blame it all on the Republicans, when in fact, both parties are to blame and the idiot partisans don't seem to care, except for political purposes.
Are you really surprised over this. We as Americans can be really stupid and idealistic. We slaughtered the Native Americans, had slaves, in recent time have been in several military conflicts (ALL of which we armed the enemy before we fought them). America has is good points but like many other things in life, are in fact, mostly a sham.
As far as Republican and Democrat, Republican's are hypocrites, Democrats want more government. My view....vote Ron Paul, he is going under the Republican ticket but is an independent candidate that may actually be different.
