Already did. The people who were visiting the Memorial who were not part of the unlawful group but were told to leave because of the actions of those causing the disturbance. They had time and money into their trip just as any other tourist.

Last I checked resisting arrest was illegal regardless of the civil disobedence motivation behind the actions leading to arrest. Photography up between the pillars and inside is clearly not allowed (see previous post with links) yet, everyone filming was in that space.

Generally, following the instructions of the Nat. Parks police is considered a condition of Nat.Parks useage for visitors and an acknowledge agreement upon which violation means removal from any National Park.

Yes, but not anywhere or anytime you damn well please. Haven't you heard? We have free speech zones now.

The only people disturbed were the police.

They should be fired for telling others to leave.

Those cops should at least be sued for ruining the tourists visit to the Jefferson Monument.

It was uncalled for.

Hate to blow your mind, but those were not "Code Pink, leftists". The leader of your supposed left wing bogeymen was none other than Adam Kokesh, former USMC corporal, Iraq war vet and "has been registered as a Republican since he was old enough to vote.”

I believe the Nat. Parks police were attempting to keep the peace by politely telling the dancers to move along or be arrested. They failed to follow instructions did they not and in so doing actually escalated the situation by their resistance? Yes or no?

The tourists were safe at all times, unless they were to have been struck with an urge to dance.

That's what the police feared most.

What if everyone just decided to up and start dancing for no reason?

That's why we have laws in this country.

Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins is an epic novel.

“Robbins again celebrates the joy of individual expression and self-reliance. He lays before us the time honored warts and hairs of the worlds philosophies — problems with religion, war, politics, family, marriage and sex — and leaves no twist or turn unstoned." Saturday Review"
