The child will decide on its own. You can't change biology. I don't know why people are panicking over this. So, the parents are being unconventional. Big deal. I highly doubt it's going to matter as the child grows up.
Gender identity is a little biological and a little cultural. There are case studies of genetically male females (born intersexed and raised female) that have more masculine traits. However, studies also show that when left to their devices, toys loose their gender marker.
I just finished reading the article and this confirms my belief that liberalism is a mental disorder. Please read the article, it will take less than 2 minutes. These people are a disgrace, and are gonna destroy this childs psyche. Sadly, I'm sure that more than a few Neo Progs here will find this behavior "enlightening" and the epitome of "tolerance."
It still remains that it would be big government Liberals who would bwant the government to assign the child a gender and Conservatives who would support the parents right to act foolish
Not according to the "enlightened" Neo Progs in the article. They'll just treat their child gender neutral and let him/her decide what it wants to be. I mean, who doesn't think that 4 month olds should be making critical life altering decisions?
You REALLY think the parents are letting a 4 month old have sex!!!!???
DUH! As the child ages it will be attracted to whatever sex it was programed to be attracted to BEFORE IT WAS BORN...
YOU obviously believe parents should decide which sex their child should be attracted to...weird....
GOOD for them for at least trying to break down the sex stereotyping that leads to so much crap later in life and has NOT helped this world whatsoever!!!!
