I'd be more interested in seeing consumers screwing businesses by not patronizing them, thus manipulating markets. No government intervention required.

I'd rather see an educated populous that doesn't fall for deceptive practices so that the government doesn't have to get involved and everyone's tax dollars aren't spent trying to protect a few uneducated people.

How is an individual or family going to stop multi-national corporations from colluding together to manipulate a market? You're ideology of anti-government doesn't work in the real world.

And your ideology of the government stopping fraud that they help create doesn't work in any world. Freddy and Fannie didn't hurt people without the help of the US government and many members of congress who themselves know nothing about the real world.

Problem is, nobody trusts government. Its gotten too big, too impersonal, too corrupt and spends too much time in bed with the guys its supposed to be "protecting us from."
