Obviously it has to be a lie. The far left keeps telling us sharia will never happen here. They disparage states like Oklahoma for attempting to make certain that sharia never enters into their courts.
It's a bad law, but that was the law as it existed at the time.
Keep ranting, I like seeing you drool.
That's just the police's excuse. Leafletting. BIG FREAKING DEAL! Either people were on the sidewalk or they weren't and that goes for EVERYONE THERE. This was an obvious attempt at appeasement of the Muslims so the authorities look good in their eyes.

If you have evidence of this, please provide it. It certainly cannot be inferred from the text of this ruling.

You have just hit the reason I can't stand what goes on in Dearborn. I may not like Oklahoma because on alternating days it either blows or sucks along with Nebraska reciprocating but I do like the recent laws they have passed concerning illegal aliens and Sharia law.
In discussing matters of public policy it is important to adhere strictly to the principles of truth and honesty.
In this case, the anti-leafletting ordinance, the disctrict court decision, and the Sixth Circuit decision had absolutely nothing to do with Islam or Shariah law. The sole justification presented by the defendants was their legitimate interest in keeping the sidewalks open for pedestrian traffic, and the court specifically found that the regulation was content neutral.
Any claim, by the original poster or anyone else on this thread, that this was in any way related to Shariah law, or that the Sixth Circuit found in its decision that the First Amendment trumps Shariah law, is purely a fabrication.

Missouri was attempting to enact a similar law. The far left in St. Louis was doing its best to demonize it. The growth of mosques and madrassas in the Midwest since 9/11 is an eye-opener.

Exactly so. That won't stop them from grasping at any straw, but good try.
So why didn't the police arrest the Muslims who were also on the sidewalk? Keep digging, I like seeing you sweat!
I believe the violation wasnt being on the sidewalk or buffer zone, it was the actions of the persons in the buffer zone. Any person using the zone to get to and from the festival were within the guidelines of the provision.
Those permited to pass out leaflets were assigned an area to do so...if the person violating this aspect of the provision were Muslim/Arab, they to would be in violation of the provision.

I agree with your statement because what else were they going to use as a legal reason for inhibiting the Christians actions. Most however, are able to read between the lines and know what was really happening and how this reversal will have an effect on future Muslim events. There can be no mistake that this ruling is not good for Muslims and Sharia in Dearborn.

Sometimes when you read between the lines...nothing is there.
