The men tend to be the exact opposite. They took away weights because prisoners (male) were getting too big and strong. The problem is that you do not need weights to get strong. Case in point is Herschel Walker (NFL). He did not use free weights. He used a bodyweight workout system.

My point exactly. You do not need free weights to gain strength. This whole ban on free weights is hot air. A lot of the male inmates are looking more like professional boxers (who also stay away from free weights)

I have a better idea that hippies can't seem to wrap their heads around...have the prisoners earn their freakin' keep. Why the hell should they get cable tv (yes, it's true - they have to have cable bc of Monday Night Football), athletic facilities, three squares, etc, for free?

You think it somehow a great idea to have people with no respect for the law running around free...how about we teach them some effin' self-respect by making them actually work for something for once in their lives?
