According to Bashir, Palin could be breaking the law by displaying the American flag on her tour bus: She drapes herself in the stars and stripes and makes millions of dollars in the process.

Sorry. Details matter when discussing the legal arguments.

Thats odd because if you understood it, you'd realize there is no federal law, its a DC law, and most likely not one that would hold up to a constitutional challenge

per the law quoted

upon which shall be shown the colors, the stars and the stripes, in any number of either thereof, or of any part or parts of either, by which the average person seeing the same without deliberation may believe the same to represent the flag, colors, standard, or ensign of the United States of America

If you want to discuss details then lets discuss them because CLEARLY its the flag.

I know displaying and burning a flag is ok, hell that was my point.

There is no federal law, the law quoted is a DC law.. It seems its liberals with the knee-jerk reaction telling othes to re-read a law that doesnt even support your claims.

And the 2nd time Obama rolled into D.C. he was using the picture of himself w/ the "CHANGE" message on it. Obviously someone in his camp, unlike yourself....read the law.
Obviously you are mistaken as usual.

This 'scandal' amounts to nothing. PMSNBC is readying a blockbuster story on Palin removing mattress tags.

If instead of making a cheap laugh at Palin's expense they put it in the context of how the flag code is flagrantly violated daily by hundreds or thousands, this story could be much more interesting. Palin probably violated the flag code. I would guess that most politicians and campaigns, from every political party, do the same.

Palin probably violated the flag code. That says more about the flag code than it does about Palin to be honest.

And you're not going to hear a defense of the guy or what he's doing in that pic from me either.
