I think he was made temporally insane by fear and rage. IMHO he was shocked out of his wits. Going behind the counter to retrieve another weapon was not the actions of a sane man.
I'd say this part was too much. It'd be one thing if he'd have just watched the guy die while waiting for paramedics, but another gun and 5 more times? Yah....he probably deserves to be punished. That's not self-defense.
It's self-defense under Universal Law.

I don't understand what you mean by that. If you mean the first shot killed him or would have killed him, then then additional shots aren't relevant, so that would be an excellent case for appeal backed up by tons of case law.

As long as he is alive, he's a problem.
That's what's wrong with you people. You got stupid stuff like "Zero-Tolerance" for peanut butter in elementary schools, but when it comes to
"Zero-Tolerance" for crime, your spines turn to jelly and you slink away.
As much as I would have been equally tempted to pump a few dozen shots into Antwun, I would have resisted the urge.
This is where he went wrong. Having a right to defend oneself is very different than having a right to murder someone. The pharmacist's life was no longer in danger. He should have quit while he was ahead.
His lawyer did a **** job I reckon. He definitely deserves jail time but life?
