Also American corporations lacked the vision to developed high quality and highly technical manufacturing like Germany did where there was a committment by government, business and labor TO KEEP JOBS IN GERMANY OF THE NATIONAL GOOD,
The reality is that in many cases corporations in America in many ways have only an address here. They get a majority of their revenue and profits from other countries around the world. They have no national loyalty and no sense of doing something simply for the good of the country.
The motto of Corporate America is:
IF IT DON'T MAKE DOLLARS, IT DON'T MAKE SENSE!
The American people are being sold out by Corporate America and the banks.
Offshoring of blue collar work overseas, and inshoring it to illegal immigrants. The decay of public schools is a factor, which I blame largely on the teacher's union, so indirectly I would blame unions, at least that particular one.
The teacher's union largely formed as response to low payment. Once they got powerful, however, things just got worse from there.
As for offshoring blue collar work and hiring illegal immigrants, I agree. Again, this is largely the work of greedy corporate guys. Less money to pay workers = more money to keep to themselves.
Who cares? Why do you care what other people make? We can close the gap by taking money from Gates and Soros. Would that make you happy?
I care because we have a huge budget shortfall and we need to cut military spending and raise taxes on the wealthy to pay for it.
It's important for people to know just how well the rich in the USA are doing.

You're right. It is the only reason to start a business. And that's exactly the problem. Corporate America is profit oriented and will use whatever methods they can to gain the most money, whether or not those methods are ethical.

Then go buy them a house if YOU have higher goals. Just be prepared to pay their mortgage if they are living paycheck to paycheck.
We have a spending problem, not a tax problem.
Less revenue means less spending. Biden has a trillion dollars worth of cuts..where are they ?
