Yeah, I agree. Food shouldn't have to be stored at proper temperatures, or washed or any of that nanny-state stuff. If you get sick and die of food poisoning, it's a sure thing you won't buy your food at the same place again!

Obesity in America is a greater problem in America, not because people are eating too much, but because they're eating what they shouldn't. And that such foods are usually cheaper than they would be otherwise.

It is great if national leaders and celebrities in position to have an impact take it as a cause, and prevent those who stand against it. Such actions ought to be applauded, not snickered at.

But I don't have a problem with Michelle Obama's efforts to have a healthier nation. People ***** about her wanting school lunches to be healthier... really????? What on earth is the problem with kids eating healthy at school? What is wrong with teaching people about how to make healthy choices? I do take issue with restricting adults from making choices, but I haven't seen any of that from Michelle.

So, I ask of those of you who think Michelle Obama is a granola-eating monster, what's your problem with her initiative? It seriously comes off as "how dare she try and help our nation's children be healthy," which is lunacy to me. I wish I had had healthfulness instilled in me when I was young.
Remind me again, what office was she elected to???????????

Why do people have a problem with Mrs. Obama's health initiative?
yes forcing skim or low fat milk which has a higher content of SUGARS (and since the fat is actually necessary to help break down those sugars) which is actually LESS HEATHLY than whole milk, is wrong

What do you think about legalizing raw milk and placing that in schools as an alternative to even whole milk because it is healthier than pasteurized milk (if the cows are properly taken care of of course)?

I'm also not a health-thinking guy and have every intention of voting her husband out of office in 2012, but I admire Michelle's stance on this. If parents don't want their kids to eat Michelle's healthy food, have your child bring their lunch from home.

All the first lady has shown us about eating is how a 200lb lawyer can crush a lobster with either hand.
