Romney gave the president for having "tried" to help the country recover, but said Obama had instead "extended the downturn and made it deeper" through un-American economic policies.
"When the Europeans were in trouble economically, they spent more money and they borrowed more money. That's just what he did," Romney said. "He has been awfully European. You know what? European policies don't work there. They sure as heck aren't going to work here."
"I believe in capitalism. I believe in the Constitution," he continued. "And I believe in the greatness of America."
If it's Romney for the Republicans, then expect one of the most boring presidential elections in decades with a lower than usual percentage of voters interested in turning out. However, if it's Ron Paul, expect the opposite. I'm hoping it's Ron Paul to provide a crystal clear choice for the voters, but not counting on it happening.
Baloney. The country is looking for REAL leadership in Washington. The social experiment is over. The adults are on their way.
Do you think European financial policies have done well? Do you think we should go on borrowing and spending money?
I don't see the connection between borrowing money and Europe. If anything the United States has been doing that much longer than the Europeans.
And I'm stating that calling something European as a method of demeaning something is lame. For example, I'm very pro- high speed rail. Instead of debating it on its merits I hear people calling it European and /or socialist.
Such tactics or lack thereof are the refuse of the weak minded and of those who hate this country. Critical thinking will win the day, allegiance to ideology will NOT.

As if he has a monoply on the above, typical rw rhetoric. Was he wrapped in the flag while holding a gun in one hand and a Bible in the other? Oh wait he is Not a Christian.

Good for Romney. Now what he needs to do is shut the f up and come up with a plan that will straighten out this global financial mess and articulate that plan to Americans. Otherwise he needs to take a hike.
my thoughts exactly.
isn't he basically an executive consultant? that is the last sort of person i want as president, one friendly with the hedge fund managers and corporate boardrooms, but no clue about the priorities of the bottom 90%. running on his "business experience" does not go very far with me. I think he is the sort of guy who was born on home plate and thinks he hit a home run.
