I recently read a Pew Research survey (13 pages long), which categorizes American political groups. I will explain them briefly.. and you can vote, which are you?
This is one of the more interesting things I've read in years, and it tells you an awful lot about your fellow P&OC posters.
Staunch conservative (GOP)
Main Street conservative (GOP)

New Coalition Democrats (D)

Solid Liberals (D)

Of the GOP voters, Staunch Republicans are the most socially conservative. They are notably white, supportive of Wall Street, active in politics, nationalist, and least likely to compromise. They dislike the Democratic party more than any other group dislikes any other party. They overwhelmingly support war, and think that Islam is inherently violent. They are anti-regulation, anti-tax, anti-government, and anti-environment. They are the most likely to get their news from Fox News, Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh. They are the group that is least worried about the unemployment rate.
Another attempt from liberals to fit people neatly into lables and categories. What is up with that pathology and why is it so important to pigeonhole everyone?

Because if Democrats can't blame all their problems on "Red States" fill with millions of blue Democrat voters they have no way to explain their massive failures.

I hear and see people label themselves all the time...they have no need of a political party to do it for them. Most people feel the need to fit in somewhere, and they gladly shun individuality for the comfort of labels. This is not a specifically liberal or conservative trait.
I'm also curious as to why you choose to accuse liberals of attempting this...I didn't see anything in that article that was overtly partisan.

And to think you incessantly whine and cry about personal attacks.

That's republican code talk for "This question/link is too hard to figure out. If it's not on dr. seuss book intelligence levels, I can't figure it out, so I'll just resort to the hate and ignorance that I've been programed to do."

Angry about being classified as a "New Coalition Democrat"?
