Hey Steve, we know you're not feeling well, but thanks for telling us about all the new toys and gizmos you'll be bringing to market.
But just wanted to let you know that even though your company is on the cutting edge, employing thousand of smart well paid people and your company, you and your employees are making alot of money, there are alot of people on CD that think it's OK to confiscate all that profit to 'spread the wealth'. How long will you stay in business knowing that every dollar of profit you make will be confiscated?

3% federal sales taxes replaces the income tax for EVERYONE. Leave the current social security tax etc which comes from your paychecks.
Stop looking for groups of people to pay for the insane growth of a oppressive government.
Government does less liberty is restored no more bailouts no more laws that benefit anyone.
Keep what you earn.
We need to stop this idea that taxing anyone is the solution and or political tool for any group of people.

The "productive" class of the OP is the investor class. People who can sit on their behind for a living (I'm not against either corporations OR investors - they are valuable). But this is the class we're supposed to revere and see as "America".

It has a name - objectivism. It's a philosophy AND a mentality of people who aren't even aware of the term. It's "survival of the strongest", strength being determined by wealth, both individual and familial. The model is the animal herd where the "strong" procreate and the weak (the sick and "useless") are left to die, this being beneficial to the herd overall (society). Some taxes go to those considered weak and useless (seniors for instance), and neo-cons don't like it. Keep this in mind as you observe what the right-wing says and does.

This is very interesting because I believe the official figure is about 47% of all people pay no federal income tax, whatsoever. Even more interesting is that this demographic is more likely to consume government services. So basically you have the government taking from one group and giving to another, yet the recipient class consistently clamors that they want even more from the productive class, and that the productive class is greedy and selfish for wanting to keep the spoils of their own labor. The productive class is shrinking by the day, and the recipient class is getting bigger and bigger. What will happen when there's no more worker bees left to carry everyone else on their back?
Not heavy taxes, but raise their taxes to the 1999 levels.

We aren't here in the first place to accumulate stacks of money. We should be using the incredible wealth of this world to help alleviate suffering, but all capitalism seems to do is create even MORE suffering.

And yes, I am fully aware that you will disagree. but that's my .02 cents and I may be going out on a limb here but I'm pretty sure it's the creators as well. And THATS coming from someone who wouldn't classify herself as religious.
Men and women who create are proliferating suffering?

Who do you work for?

I'm 100% certain that they can do without you.

You cannot do without them.

"Productive" people create jobs, not for the sake of creating jobs, but for profit. Jobs are a side effect of creation. Not the other way around.

Why is that such a difficult concept?

Y'all don't seem to grasp that wall street profits wildly from strife, and that deregulation that fails to arbitrate evenly for both sides is false prosperity.

Bottom line is that real conservative principles hinge on accountability and the more folks trick themselves into believing another dose of the hair of the dog deregulation is going to cure them, the deeper the hole gets dug.

As for your 13k property tax- I hear you but this is not a national issue. When that went on in Long Island it had to do with a handful of noisy constituents who wanted free lunch or their complimentary morons who wanted the state to subsidize their gated community existence. The tax burden falls on home owners exclusively for what reasons? Point of sale taxes would solve this. Paring down your local government you need to ask yourself which services wind up paying for themselves and which are not needful when citizens groups could pick up a shovel. Rural has disadvantages financially, but it also has advantages when communities are civic minded. Time to take stock of that asset.
You need help. Seriously.

Maybe some people buy into that statement. I certainly don't. But then I am outside the Matrix.
How am I protected better than you?

Unless, of course, you're talking about people living in slums.

They are ONLY preyed upon by their own.
