Do you not believe in that being true? Next, I would ask you... if you're in a policy making/enforcing position that affects the entire country, not just those who voted for you, do you want to surround yourself only with people who agree with you, every step of the way? Or, do you see a point in surrounding self with people who are willing to provide a different side to the issue as well?

I'm still waiting for the people who committed treason that the President surrounds himself with.

A lot of people aren't informed about the roots of cultural Marxism and how it has infected not only the Left, but the Right as well. I see many on both sides of the aisle promote Marxist and anti-American ideas without really recognizing how those same ideas came about from an explicit desire to destroy America and its institutions. Concepts such as multi-culturalism and moral relativism originated from the Marxist thinkers of the 19th and early 20th centuries, but now are considered mainstream ideas that are even promoted in schools.

Marxism isn't anti-American, if the majority of Americans chose that path for the country.

In essence, no government style is anti-American, since the American system of government is forever changing and flexible.

Now I don't follow marxism because it isn't viable in a world with limited resources. But marxism isn't socialism.

Meanwhile our President goes to the New World Order, I mean U.N. Security Council, instead of the U.S. Congress to send our troops into harms way in Libya.

Yeah its so out of this world to even think that our leaders may not have our best interest at heart. What's even more damaging is the "peaches and roses" outlook on our leaders that most have. It seems the paranoia that our founders had of the Government has been lost on our population.

Why has not one member of congress or private individual brought charges on the President then?

Because its legal under the interpretive view of the constitution we've followed since Washington took the oath of office and added "so help me God".

Those "discussions" would never occur in my house, as liberals are not allowed there. As a result, family gatherings (younger brother and sister are libs) cannot occur in our home, despite it being the largest. Libs are just a pain in social settings and it is best to simply ban them such that they do not ruin an otherwise entertaining event by discussing politics and being "offended". I have had too many good meals ruined by angry liberals just wanting to tell me exactly what they think and feel. When there is turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, and champagne to be consumed, I really do not want to hear about some line of BS. We just leave when they start to get fired up (which always happens)- it makes things alot easier.
There's this awesome idea called not discussing politics.

My family is pretty split down the middle between liberals and conservatives and we can at least get through a meal.

Do you not value family over politics?

It isn't possible to get as fired up as a right wing conserevative ie: glen beck, rush limbaugh, hannity, savage, coulter.....we're all just amazed you are all so blind and ignorant its just so frustrating we seem "fired up".

My art group has this rule and it works very well. We all enjoy our art and each other although we know that we are ideologicallly different we still get along.

the american version of socialism has actually made us the great country we are today. Thats how we got our railways, our roadways and highway systems, bridges, dams, and parks built. Its how we keep the unlawful away from the populace. Its how we became a hugely effective military complex, its how we protect our country from outside invasion. It helps our seniors and our most vulnerable, it built librarys and the best public school system in the world. If I took the time to research and not just take what little remains on the top of my head at my age...I could quote many, many more socialist ideals every conservative takes for granted and ungratefully so. I know the right just loves moaning and crying about socialist, but none of them could live there lives of capitalism if it were not for the socialist working side by side with them. When the right stops adoring and kissing the backsides of the wealthy and decides its done bending over for the corporations and gets back to the roots of this country of Of the People, By the People and For the People we'll all enjoy some peace and quiet. I'm so sick of the "I hate my government baloney". I'm proud that I am an American and so should you!
