The problem with that was the narrative because that comment came out when foreign policy was being talked about. No, seeing an island from another country from anywhere in your state doesn't give one foreign policy experience.

Ah, there it is. Wouldn't it have been nice if they'd been honest - with so many phrases and terms they could of pulled from - they still had to make one up. (Wonder why)

I see a bunch of nuts and they're in every Palin thread.
I agree with your comments here, but what did I miss regarding the made up comment?

Sarah was WRONG! Like many stubborn people, she can't admit it.
What question was she answering? What was the wording of the question?

I can't find that anywhere but I can find a gazillion and a half 33 second youtube clips.

I have to give her kudos for exposing corruption in her own party. Apart from that, I know very little about her and turn the channel when I see her on tv. It's a sound aesthetic thing.

Palin is a talking head, no more. She reads from a script and people call her brilliant. She is not. When she goes off script the below average comes to the surface.

As for the corruption, ya might want to look at why she left office 17 months into her term as governor of Alaska.

See the LA Times article. She was asked who Paul Revere was.

Even in California they know better!

Sarah Palin claims Paul Revere warned the British - latimes.com

One moment that you won't find posted on the blog is Palin's response to reporters when they asked her who Paul Revere was. Instead of saying, "Come on, everyone knows who Paul Revere, the silversmith and patriot is," she stammered while saying this:

"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren’t gonna be takin’ away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed."

She served 31 months as Governor, and Alaskans know why she resigned as Governor and supported her decision. You obviously do not know why.

I know what Palin said but the wording of the question is sort of important if you're going to lambaste the response to it, IMO.

IMO, it looks like she was already reluctantly answering and while she was answering trying to move away. Now this is me assuming but if they really did only ask "Who was Paul Revere" she knew the question was loaded considering where they're at...

I'm sure they do. If I lived in Alaska I would have supported her decision to quit, too.

In fact, I probably would have been willing to offer her a generous severance package to leave even earlier.

She is a piece of work alright

CHRIS WALLACE: I gotta ask you about that real quickly, though. You realize that you messed up about Paul Revere, don’t you?

PALIN: You know what? I didn’t mess up about Paul Revere. Here’s what Paul Revere did. He warned the Americans that “the British were coming, the British were coming.” And they were going to try to take our arms so got to make sure that, uh, we were protecting ourselves and, uhm, shoring up all of our ammunitions and our firearms so that they couldn’t take them.

I think no matter what some or certain people say, they are going to be picked on, so the way of the land. There are some that can say everything right, but for some reason, they are saying it wrong. To me when someone is signaled out, or made an example of, someone someplace has something to fear.

She clearly is a strong individual no matter how one chooses to look at her. Why would someone take this abuse that she has clearly had to put up with. I admire her in a way, because i never could put up with all the she has had to endure, maybe i am a wuss, but she is not.

Who in politics has not said some very dumb ignorant statements, but the media for some odd reason, has given certain people a pass!

Go watch her interview with Katie Couric. Everything will become clear then.
