Not a Palin fan, nor a Palin follower, but there's plenty of criticism on this forum about her. What has she said or done that's so "off".
I have to give her kudos for exposing corruption in her own party. Apart from that, I know very little about her and turn the channel when I see her on tv. It's a sound aesthetic thing.

Apparently you're on the Internet right now, so go and have at it. YouTube is a great place to start. Within an hour you'll likely be in side-splitting laughter.

No can do. I'd rather hear nails on a chalkboard for an hour.

Whoops, I glossed over the part about you finding her voice annoying. Honestly, the voice is one reason why people don't take her seriously. Her "accent," which is of dubious origin, suggests a shameless attempt at pandering to heartland folks.

Except for the fact that a lot of people who live in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, Alaska, have the same mid-western accent. It goes back to the 1930s when FDR moved several hundred families from Minnesota and Wisconsin to settle in Alaska. There are also a lot of people with Texan accents living in Alaska. That goes back to the late 1970s and the construction of the Trans-Alaskan Pipeline. There were not enough skilled Alaskans to construct the pipeline, so there were many Texan families brought up to Alaska.
In fact, most Alaskans (including myself), are transplants from other states. I have known both Todd and Sarah before she ran for Governor, and her accent is genuine.

part of the reason...i think... is no matter what the press says about her or does to her she refuses to go away...she's like the energizer bunny and the press can't stand it...is she a kook? i don't know, would i vote for her, probably not...but i do love watching the press pull out their hair, stomp their feet and jump up and down 'cause they can't control her......quite entertaining, i might add
I don't want to see her as the President,
but I think she's gotten a lot of unfair
criticism. I like her because she drives
the lefties absolutely nuts. But I gotta
say, her latest thing on Paul Revere
really has me scratching my head.

Is there something wrong with the way "heartland folks" talk? Seems that they're the ones singled out and picked on by Obama and the libs...you know, clinging to their "guns, religion, redneck xenophobes, belong to the Klan", etc. etc. etc.... Maybe it's better to be "pandered" to then insulted.
