Oh how I wish they would stop using our children to promote their social/political agendas!

NC Lawmaker Angry After Teacher Has Daughter Send Him Note About Budget Cuts | The Blaze

"A state lawmaker in North Carolina is upset today after he received a hand-written letter from his 8-year-old daughter. That may sound odd at first, but that’s not the whole story. The letter, you see, was part of a school writing project that had students write to local politicians about public education. And the young girl’s note included a direct message: “Please put the buget [sic] higher dad.”

That was very bad taste on the part of the teacher IMO.

Progressives have been indoctrinating school miss for a long time now. They tell vulnerable minds what to think and steer them towards a liberal way of viewing the world where the only "right" way to see the world is through liberal eyes.

Yes. And since school is mandatory and taxes are used to fund them, we are all forced to endorse and fund a system that indoctrinates our children into a view many of us disagree with. We need to get rid of or at least castrate the Federal Dept. of Education. At least at the local level, parents could have much more control. Much of this liberal agenda dribbles down from the top, which has been infiltrated by the extreme left for a long time (since inception.)

I highly recommend Charlotte Iserbyt's book, [b]"The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America," which provides a timeline of the takeover of public education by the radical left. Tons of official documents as verification in the book, which I believe can be downloaded for free. Iserbyt worked under the Reagan administration and was the consumate whistleblower. A very informative read.

Why can't this lawmaker man up and just say he is cutting education funding?

Bad ones that can't be fired yes. But is it also necessary to have multiple principles, VP's and a long list of highly paid board members?
