I'm no fan of SaRAH Palin. I believe she's very narcissistic, self-serving, cut-throat and proably a backstabber. However, what is the point of releasing these emails? Why now? Don't you think this is a tad suspicious? I believe this might be the old guard Republicans who have it in for her. I also believe this may very well backfire. With so many emails in question things could easily be taken out of context.
And lastly......... hell must have frozen over since I'm almost defending the narcissistic nimcapoop.
News organizations filed the state equivalent of a FOIA request shortly after Gov. Palin resigned in 2009. Gov. Parnell and his admin have resisted the request, and delayed as long as possible before releasing these emails. Why now? Because they couldn't delay any more. These emails were actually supposed to come out almost a year ago, but admin people requested extension after extension.
For what it's worth, Palin has added a note of caution:

I'm imagining there being some slightly embarrassing stuff in there, like some sort of confirmation of the poorly kept secret that Todd is really the only person who gives counsel that Sarah actually listens to.

Exactly... I was going to post this as well.... The request was made over two years ago and the excuse for it taking so long was that "It took a long time to collect them all...".
BULL!!! I work in IT and find it IMPOSSIBLE to believe that it would take more than a week to comply if it was necessary to do so...
No, some folks were going over them with a fine-toothed comb I'm sure to remove anything that could be construed as political execution for her I'm sure.....
