this is how crazy it's gotten: FDA finally admits chicken meat contains arsenic.
Arsenic? Eat more!
But even as its arsenic-containing product is pulled off the shelves, the FDA continues its campaign of denial, claiming arsenic in chickens is at such a low level that it’s still safe to eat. This is even as the FDA says arsenic is a carcinogen, meaning it increases the risk of cancer.
The National Chicken Council agrees with the FDA. In a statement issued in response to the news that Roxarsone would be pulled from feed store shelves, it stated, “Chicken is safe to eat” even while admitting arsenic was used in many flocks grown and sold as chicken meat in the United States.
What’s astonishing about all this is that the FDA tells consumers it’s safe to eat cancer-causing arsenic but it’s dangerous to drink elderberry juice! The FDA recently conducted an armed raid in an elderberry juice manufacturer, accusing it of the “crime” of selling “unapproved drugs.” (http://www.naturalnews.com/032631_e… (broken link)) Which drugs would those be? The elderberry juice, explains the FDA. You see, the elderberry juice magically becomes a “drug” if you tell people how it can help support good health.
The FDA has also gone after dozens of other companies for selling natural herbal products or nutritional products that enhance and support health. Plus, it’s waging a war on raw milk which it says is dangerous. So now in America, we have a food and drug regulatory agency that says it’s okay to eat arsenic, but dangerous to drink elderberry juice or raw milk.
Eat more poison, in other words, but don’t consume any healing foods. That’s the FDA, killing off Americans one meal at a time while protecting the profits of the very companies that are poisoning us with their deadly ingredients.
Oh, by the way, here’s another sweet little disturbing fact you probably didn’t know about hamburgers and conventional beef: Chicken litter containing arsenic is fed to cows in factory beef operations. So the arsenic that’s pooped out by the chickens gets consumed and concentrated in the tissues of cows, which is then ground into hamburger to be consumed by the clueless masses who don’t even know they’re eating second-hand chicken sh*t. FDA finally admits chicken meat contains cancer-causing arsenic «
And when it was almost a done deal a study popped up showing that pasture raised cows (grass only with very little grain) on rotational grazing didn't fart as much as feedlot cows so only Big Ag would have been impacted.
*poof*....cow farts will NOT destroy the planet as previously thought.
That one backfired on Big Ag.
"No kidding and did he mention which Fortune 100 companies benefited from the business for their companies those regulations would result in?
They probably didn't think about it that deeply but they should. Behind every government "safety" or "energy conservation" regulation is a Fortune 100 company if not multiple companies AND government officials who stand to profit from it. EVERYONE needs to FOLLOW THE MONEY.
These regulations have NOTHING to do with "safety" or "conservation" or what have you and EVERYTHING to do with CONTROL of the populace and PROFITS for the elites."
So true and if you include all the regs in the tax code you will find endless custom made loop holes that apply to individual or very small groups that have curried favor with some legislator who has returned the favor.
Thinking even more 'deeply' one realizes it is not the companies that pass legislation. The lobbyists are impotent, only a legislator can pass a law!
The culprit who deserves full credit are the elected legislators!
Life time appointments by merit of corscrew shaped voting districts keep these guys in for decades. In that time they can accumulate a bunch of hidy holes, power and knowledge of how to work the system they customize to make what seems evil, legal.
With herds of Goldman Sach alum running the treasury you have to conclude the government is of such low character they can easily be manipulated by power and money. WE need to change the criteria we use to select future legislators.
1. Exxon, Walmart, IBM, and every other corporation is ultimately owned by humans, directly or indirectly. I'm human, and I have a direct percentage ownership in those three; I own mutual funds which own them; I have a small pension benefit that may also be backed by ownership in them.
2. When Smith incorporates his farm, did anything really change from Smith running the farm himself to Smith running the farm as president of Smith Farms Inc.?
I haven't been able to find anything on the regulations you talk about in a quick search, but that certainly doesn't mean they aren't real. For the dust one, perhaps the government doesn't want the farm kicking up so much dust that it becomes a nuisance to nearby neighbors? I'm not necessarily saying that these regulations make sense (especially since I haven't been able to read them), but conspiracy theory type talk of "they want to control your lives and make you worse!" doesn't actually help anything.
Every stop, when asked what they worry about in the future, all 3 farmers (a hog farmer, dairy farmer, and grain farmer) and the feed store guy all told me government regulations were their main worry.
For example, the feed store owner said that to store his 1000 gallons of molasses, he had to build a berm around it so it couldn't spread if it spilled. it's sugar. You can eat the stuff. But the EPA says it's dangerous. The dairy farmer actually said the same thing. Initially, because milk has fat, it was classified as an "oil" and the same law applied. It was then lifted this year before it got enforced.
The dairy farmer said they have to spend $500,000 to get compliant. He can't do that, and is only currently 80% compliant. He's hoping to get there eventually.
They all agree that government regulators are just idiotic, and don't use common sense. And there are people that think we need to put them in charge of our health care?
Bet they don't complain about the government "regulations" when those GIANT subsidy checks arrive in the mail....

So why is it those who complain the most have no problem putting these very same people in charge of our nuclear arsenal and going to war?
I'll also bet the corn farmers, their equipment suppliers and their bankers don't complain about the idiotic government regulation we contaminate our gasoline with alcohol. I bet they didn't complain when NAFTA eliminated Mexico's tariff on imported corn resulting in the impoverishment of millions of Mexican farmers. I bet the dairy farmers don't complain about the floor on milk prices provided by the government marketing bureaus. I’ll bet they don’t complain about the government policies that turned nearly impoverished farmers into millionaires worried about protecting the fortune from the kids.

I kind of got the feeling that these guys didn't vote for the current administration.
