In fact, these argument sprang from liberalism, but modern day liberals are not threatened by them. Why?

That is a really strange statement, the only thing that scares me is phony conservatives selling the middle class down the river

Because we don't believe it's a workable system.

It's a wonderful fantasy to live in a world with no (anarchy or communism) or little (libertarianism) government. However, it's an unrealistic utopian view. The fact of the matter is there exist a lot of greedy, power hungry, sociopathic, etc, etc, etc people out there who, if given the opportunity, will try and exert control over others for their own gain. If you remove the structural framework of society - abandon law and some degree of governmental force - you create a vacuum for these people/forces to act in. It's somewhat ironic, but instituting complete anarchist or communistic or libertarian principles and policies would be the quickest way for a society and its people to lose their freedoms.

Odd, since you think that lobbyist depends on more government, rather than less.

This. It would simply result in a totalitarian state ruled by a few or a single corporation.

I agree and Government attracts many of these "greedy, power hungry, sociopathic" people, who,"if given the opportunity, will try and exert control over others for their own gain." That is exactly why we need a very small government, who cannot exert "governmental force."

Unfortunately, the true "Liberal" party of yore has been taken over by the "Progressives," who want nothing more than to rule all our lives with a Totalitarian form of government.
