Should gas and other energy sources be nationalized as non profit to keep prices lower? The raw materials fome from nature, why should Exxon and other mega corps profiteer off the people with the price gouging?

Water is mostly public operated and regulated. Why not oil and gas?

No. Government should be removed from energy all together. A free market will be regulated by knowledgable consumers

And look at what government price controls/ management have done to the water supply in Califiornia.
You can always look to Venezuela for other examples.

It would be called Obamagas.

We'd double the price to the middle class just so we could give subsidies to the poor.
Just like his Insurance Tax called the ACA.

Isn't it a right for the poor to get free gas ?

Government is incapable of running anything. It lies, is politicized and when it goes off the rails they appear immune to laws which bind everyone else.

run bambi run!

the oil industry taxes is what keeps the government solvent. All the high prices end up in the feds pockets. If the feds took over big oil there would be a shortage of funds for all the social programs. Congress would cut funding and the siting administration would choke the citizens to validate their warning that the other party caused national hardships.

Look at how well the VA is run a year after the current Prez climed he would immediately address the issues.

The feds would not sue themselves for any birds caught in spilled oil. Eagle deaths would be ignored as the feds are doing with windmill kills.

It will be nationalized just watch. The march of big government will not stop until the people stop it. I don't see that happening anytime soon.
