Good point. I'm not sure what the difference is between "read my lips: no new taxes" and "my twitter account got hacked."

I suppose one is a failed promise and the other is an outright lie, but I find both pretty bad.

No, we don't. What many of you classify as "lies" are truths you don't want to hear.

Now, be fair. Politicians do not lie all the time. Only when their lips are moving

Because he's a flasher. He may not be the guy at the bus stop opening his jacket in front of teen-aged girls, but he's a flasher just the same. Also, he's not just a liar -he's a damned good one. How do we know next time his back's against the wall that he's being straight with us?

He hasn't been playing nice with other Dems hence they want to throw him under the bus. The lesson in his story is always be nice to folks don't be a jerk just to be a jerk. You never know when the tables will turn.

Frankly the actual scandal is not anything that I would hold against him.

Taken in the House gym - I'm sure all the other members appreciate it. Anthony Weiner at the House Members' Gym | Celebrity Photos | TMZ.com

The man is way beyond a liar.

Checking himself into rehab is an extreme measure if his only misconduct was

1) getting caught in a lie
2) sexting 6 adult females over a 3 year period.

It was an irrational move.

There's more to the story.
