As a parent isn't it your responsibility to actually know what homosexuality is in order to best care for your children? It seems as if you would fail in that situation.

If your homosexual friends read your comments, they would be offended. They might smile to you, sure. I'd smile and treat you nicely...only to talk trash once I left your presence.
How do you know what someone else would do? You need to stay on topic

You are allowed to feel that homosexuality is wrong for you. However, deciding its wrong for someone else implies that you know better then they do, which is the mother of all assumptions isn't it?

Saying you disagree with homosexuality is one thing, saying that homosexuals shouldn't be able to marry because God said marriage is between a man and one woman (he never actually said that BTW) is another thing all together.

Default Here we go with that "lifestyle" nonsense again ... :\

Maybe i'm naive but I think there's more to gay people than them being gay.

So I could be friends with a gay person but dont just assume i'm ok with your lifestyle. Thats the part where we disagree.
What is this "lifestyle" you speak of?

I know gay men who are very talented athletes, who are wonderful teachers, who are drug dealing theives (well, used to know), who are drag queens, who are very boring grandparents, etc .... there is no single "lifestyle". It's just a word people who don't like gays adopted to mean "sex".

So, when you talk about "lifestyle" you're really talking about what consenting adults of the same gender choose to do in the privacy of their own bedroom / kitchen / backyard / boss's desk at work / etc ....

... and that is simply none of your business. I personally don't care what you do with your fat girlfriend or that snookie-wannabe you picked up right before last-call. Therefore I have no need to consider whether I "agree" or "disagree" with whatever perverted things you people do to each other. Doesn't affect me! Don't care! Bang away!

It should work both ways.

What you feel is of no concern to me Fresh,...and you don't need anyones permission to have those feelings.

Of course you are allowed to feel as you feel! Like many prejudices, this one is likely deeply rooted in your background and upbringing. I am delighted that you belive in equal rights for all. . . .what seems to be necessary, in our society, is to allow others to live as they choose . . . a "live and let live" enviornment. . . ..the big problem is not that there are those who have strong beliefs, but that some of these seem to want to legislate the rights of others to make choices for themselves, because they believe some would choose differently than they would.

Or. . . as we have been saying, for years. . . . ."if you don't believe in abortion, don't have one"
"If you don't believe in gay marriage, don't participate in one", etc. etc.

If you read the post you quoted I said exactly the same thing you said. There are more to gay people than being gay. The "lifestyle" part is just semantics.

"Nature didnt design a mans penis to enter another mans rectum"

Dude, isn't that just obviously untrue?

I guess if someone "could" they would stick their pecker in a wall socket - doesn't mean they should.
