As I have said ad nauseum, sports are the only meritocracy, because the better you are, the more money you make for your employer. Only a very few people can play sports at the top level. Lots of people can work in corporate America.

Overblown nonsense. Anyone who wants to get into college gets into college. I'm black, and was turned down to several colleges. My son (who is also black BTW), got turned down to several colleges too.
Besides, the NBA is white dominated. Always has been. Always will be. Only the players are mostly black.
Well, the original video was simply trying to make a point and nothing more. It certainly wasn't trying to get Affirmative action instilled into the athletic teams. Like it or hate it, Affirmative Action is a race-based program, and it does racially discriminate. The standard reply is that blacks have been discriminated against for centuries by whites, therefore Affirmative Action is an acceptable discrimination since it targets whites. My thought has always been, When are we going to end the racial mindset of our country? It certainly doesn't look like the public institutions are going to do it. It seems that the strategy is to reverse the racism rather than attack it.
