I would venture a guess that alot more than 6 billion is missing.

I think this is preemptive journalism that, either intentionally or unintentionally, is lowballing the true cost of monies pilfered.

I don't think anyone knows how much the criminals before us stole from the United States Treasury

They may not have stolen any money directly as they are public figures that attract attention. Very likely their contacts, connections and friends have looted the Treasury with this Group of Four's tacit permission. After all they are not like the rest of us so the normal rules against larceny do not apply at their level of the game.
