No. Forcing people to do any activity is a sure way to suck the sincerity out of it. Want people to recite it with sincerity? Suggest or encourage it, don't force it.

That is because you're against everything the USA stands for.
You have no loyalty to this nation.
You have no intentions of patriotism.
The more you can persuade children to feel trapped in their own nation, the better for you and the control over the people with tyranny.
Pride in my nation was not only taught to me by my parents, it was a big part of my education, when pride in the USA meant something and kept us safe and free, with liberty and justice for all.

The pledge was created by a SOCIALIST to get us used to pledging our allegiance to the state and not to the ideals of freedom. His goal worked very very.

Did you just call me a "Progressive"? Really? You do realize that the Pledge was written by a Socialist, right? Also, how is the idea that the government should serve the people a Progressive idea? Let me refer you to Thomas Jefferson:

Let me ask you this: If the Pledge of Allegiance isn't an oath of loyalty to the government of the United States, who is it an oath to? The flag - a piece of cloth? The flag represents the government of the United States, and the Pledge of Allegiance is swearing an oath of allegiance to that government.
I'd imagine children in N. Korea swear a similar oath to their leader every day.

Anyway, the question isn't whether you think the US is the bestest, it's whether children should be forced to swear an oath of loyalty to their government each morning.
I think that the limits on government and the protection of individual liberty and free thought that was built into the government of the United States is the best government that's yet existed in the world. Sadly, those limits and protections have been slowly chiseled away over the years.
That said, I don't find the forced/coerced recital of the Pledge of Allegiance to be much in line with the spirit of individual liberty.
Yes, of course they should. If you are not loyal to your own nation, perhaps your unhappiness and disloyalty suggests that you need a new nation.
Liberalism is dead, as the insanity of its core beliefs are starting to unwind. Obama has been helpful in this regard.
Liberals or anyone living off the government teat, should love this nation. They should be the last ones to complain about anything. However the opposite is true, because entitlement...
