Yeah, sure, leave it up to the states and an Oklahoman in a wheel chair using mairjuana for medical purposes can get sentenced to life in prison. Leave it up to some of the states to be in the Dark Ages and burning witches at the state when it comes to marijuana.

Out of hatred. There's few other people out there that can be legally hated and look down upon more than people who smoke marijuana, especially in the more conservative states, such as Oklahoma.

And so judging by your stroll down Venice Beach how has banning marijuana done society any good? It's funny how people can be so willing to defend government programs that have so miserably failed, such as marijuana prohibition.

No I don't think it's hatred. I think it's more fear. Plus there is a lot of misinformation about it such as it leading to harder drugs. And those who have never smoked it should not judge

i work on a lot of initiatives and referendum related to marijuana and work w/ the MPP a lot as well. it never ceases to amaze me how many socialists are out there who want to ban drugs and spend taxpayer dollars locking ppl up and enforcing these bans. when i was circulating the prop 19 petition in cali a couple years back (before it was given a number obs) had so much rejection from these big govt stooges even in conservative areas where id think ppl would be opposed to needless govt spending. it absolutely disgusts me.

I'm a states rights kind of guy. If its decriminalized on the federal level, if your state doesn't have a law you like, you are free to move to one of many others where it is legal.

Its the federal illegality of marijuana that I'm against. I believe its unconstitutional to outlaw marijuana, but that isn't the case on the state level.

I'm not for those kinds of state right. I don't believe "if you don't like it you can move" is a reasonable position at all.

Those who cry, "MM leads to more crime!!!!," should take a long look at what California's crime rate shows since the Compassionate Use Act was passed into law by California voters in November of 1996.

California crime rate:

1996 population 31,878,000

crime index:……. 5,207.8
violent crime:…….. 862.7
property crime:.... 4,345.1

2009 population: 36,961,664

crime index:…… 3,203.5… -38.49%
violent crime:……. 472.0…. -45.29%
property crime:.... 2,731.5… -37.14%

In my town it is decriminalized. Citizens may posess up to an ounce of product on their person with no fear. Over 70% of voters agreed. Trying to demonize a simple plant that can be grown on your kitchen window sill is ludacris.

Default Should Cannabis Be Legalized in The U.S.

I care less if it's legal or not, if a person wants to smoke weed they probably already do, there will still be drug testing at work but we have been told if it were to become legal testing would be more often so at best it will open a few positions for those who are looking.
I really have to laugh when someone says it will lower crime and domestic violence, I know couples right now that smoke weed and fight all the time.
No big deal either way
