They have a substantially better track record of handling and growing an economy by encouraging risk-taking (which is what launching any new business is), as well as also encouraging entrepreneurship, something that Obama vehemently despises.

Let's do some GOP math! :
$3.7 Trillion "Obama added"
-------------------------------
- $1.0 trillion to add the true cost of the Wars unto the budget Dubya left out
---------------------------------
- $1.7 Trillion deficit Dubya left Obama the minute he was sworn in
---------------------------------
= $1.0 Trillion Obama has actually added!
I get what your saying, what ever party is in control should turn the other cheek and the party should stop all the screaming....5 trillion, 50 trillion, 500 trillion...from now on we'll say it's in the trillions....doesn't matter how many trillions....all basically the same.

Remember when the last fighting troops left Iraq, Obama credited Bush for it in his speech. Now we have over 100,000 in Afghan and Libya starting look like it might add to this too. Which brings me to my point, what Bush did really doesn't excuse what Obama does/doesn't now. He was voted in because of his promise of change so, let me throw it back at you...why don't we hear the left complaining about all the things are still the same and getting worse that they complained about when was in office?

Get my sarcasm....we're reaching a point of no return...we can't keep addng to our debt regardless of who's in office.

So deficit spending is OK as long as a Republican does it?

Obama added = $3,717,694,237,236 to today

Obama has increased the debt by 35% and his term isn't even over yet
By 2012, it is estimated the debt will be 16 Trillion
By 2012, Obama will have increased our debt by 51%

So much for your theory
Government - Debt to the Penny (Daily History Search Application)

Thank you for posting some facts for the spend and steal party to see.

Goodness.

Isn't it funny to see a democrat talking about debt? They are kings of debt.

With a President that has destroyed America financially, has record caused record foreclosures and bankruptcies, has a record of plant and factory closings and has handed American workers tax dollars to everyone except Americans this thread is an utter joke.

Now, how can we trust them with Americas economy?

You are stating that like you know the dems are goners. In which they are.

America was far better under the reps, 54 consecutive months of job growth under them. What does the dems and Obscammer have? Record job losses and record homeless.

And do not forget the demwits of Pelosi and Reid FAILED to even present a budget for last year showing us they are not ones to handle money, budgets etc.

Another failed thread.

Thanks for letting us all know you believe Obuma and the dems are gone from running our country into the ground.

Obama and the dems are setting all kinds of records.

foreclosures
job losses
homeless
car repos
bankruptcies
spending
soldiers dying in the wars he promised to end
record illegal criminal invaders with his open border policies
crimes rates skyrocketing
and oh yes

DEBT!!!

Dem=Debt

Facts provided.

Nice try.

One minute you want to give them credit for things you might believe are good and the next you want to blame everything backwards.

We are heading into our second recession under the dems control.

Put some facts down that the damage was done before they took control?

Because Nancy and Harry were elected by promising to stop the spending, control the debt and create jobs for Americans. What have they done with TOTAL control, made things worse, much worse.

TODAY is worse then it was in 2007 and like you said, the damage of TODAY has been caused by the dems controlling congress for the last 4 years. Add in the misfits big spender Barry and you have a making of a disaster.

Today is worse then 2007. Now what do you have to blame it on?

Stupid. Accountants do not manage money, they do people's books, taxes, write payroll checks, make entries on GLs, advise on regulations and laws, etc.

You should also realize that many Americans do have mortgages and car loans. Those, IMO, are considered acceptable debt. Massive credit card debt, on the other hand, is not looked at so favorably. You are probably the exception rather than the rule, at least if you are middle aged or younger. If you are older, then that makes more sense.

If you don't want someone who got us into debt advising you on your own debt problems, perhaps you should not listen to Odumbo when he tells your household to live within its means.

The GOP started this year in $23,000,000 worth of debt and yet they say they somehow know how to solve America's debt problem.
Seems to put me in mind of the old saying...............
"Action talks and B/S walks"
People seem to forget why the Republican party was resoundly defeated in 2008............. They brought the Country to its knees. If you want it to happen again............ Vote GOP.
You're right. We need to reduce spending and reduce taxes so the money stays in the hands of the ones who spend it more responsibly. The republicans are frauds. They continue to wage war, like the dems, they continue to overspend beyond their means, like dems, they refuse to cut the deficit, like dems.

Don't vote for dems or repubs, vote on policy. Bad enough the stinking repubs have bastardized a lot of the Tea Party organizations so dont listen to their rhetoric. We've seen their budget and it raises the deficit. Instead research on how they have voted in the past and make an informed decision.

FYI 2003 national debt; $6.760

FYI 2004 national debt; $7,354

FYI 2006 national debt; $8,451

FYI 2007 national debt; $8,951

FYI 2008 national debt; $9,654

FYI 2009 (Bush's last budget) national debt; $10.413

If you recall, that was a republican budget that Clinton just signed on to.

After the GOP won control of the Congress in January, 1995, Clinton's budget proposals were DOA.

However, the actual budget was never in balance because congress had been robbing the SS surplus for years....and still did up until last year when SS started going into the red.

Up until this year, Democrats have been writing & passing the massive deficits since 2007.
