No hope and change for black people I guess....
Quote:
CBS News reports that the unemployment rate among African-Americans in the United States is now at 16.2 percent, according to the most recent data compiled by the US Department of Labor. The unemployment rate for black males is 17.5 percent; for black teenagers, it's an astonishing 41 percent.

Things are worse in New York City. "For young men of color," the CBS reports continues, "especially black males in New York City, things are especially bad. According to....the Community Service Society, 34 percent of New York's young black men age 19 to 24 are not working."

These data suggest that, for African Americans, the Great Recession is actually a Great Depression.

black unemployment was in the double digits beforehand.

is there any reason besides the obvious(blacks involved) that you posted this thread?

what about white unemployment, hispanic unemployment, or unemployment in general.

conservatives like yourself say race should be a non factor, yet you mention it in every thread like you say liberals do.

Since this thread is about comparing current situation to one from the 1930s, what was unemployment rate for black Americans during the Great Depression? (Ideal would be using the same standard of measurement)

No "Hope", but lots of "Change." After all, that is what they voted for when 93% voted for Obama, right? Stick with the Democrats and you will get a knife in your back every time.

After 80+ years of being screwed over by Democrats you would think that the black community would figure it out by now. The definition of "insanity" is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results. Of course that does not apply to just the black community, everyone who votes Democrat is truly insane.
